JioFi mobile hotspots use `jiofi.local.html` or `192.168.1.1` as the admin address. Jio Fiber ONT routers use `192.168.29.1`. Default login on most JioFi devices is `administrator` / `administrator`.

Jio is India's largest telecom provider. They sell two types of WiFi devices: JioFi mobile hotspots (portable, battery-powered) and Jio Fiber routers (home broadband). Each type uses a different admin address.

How to Log In to a JioFi Device

  1. Turn on your JioFi and wait until the WiFi LED is solid.
  2. Connect your phone or laptop to the JioFi WiFi network. The default name and password are printed on the device or its battery cover.
  3. Open a browser and type `http://jiofi.local.html` into the address bar.
  4. Enter `administrator` as both username and password.
  5. You're in the admin panel.
If `jiofi.local.html` doesn't load, try `http://192.168.1.1` instead. Both addresses open the same panel.

How to Log In to Jio Fiber

  1. Connect to your Jio Fiber WiFi or plug in an Ethernet cable.
  2. Open a browser and type `http://192.168.29.1`.
  3. Enter `admin` as the username.
  4. For the password, try `Jiocentrum`. If that doesn't work, check the sticker on the Jio Fiber ONT.
Jio Fiber routers get firmware updates from Jio directly. After an update, the default password sometimes changes to the one on the device label.

Using the MyJio App

The MyJio app is the easiest way to manage your Jio device. No IP addresses needed.

  1. Download MyJio from Google Play or the App Store.
  2. Sign in with your Jio number.
  3. The app shows your data usage, connected devices and WiFi settings.
  4. Tap WiFi Settings to change your network name or password.
The app works for both JioFi hotspots and Jio Fiber connections.

Changing Your Jio WiFi Password

Via browser:

  1. Log in at `jiofi.local.html` (JioFi) or `192.168.29.1` (Jio Fiber).

  2. Go to WiFi or Network settings.

  3. Change the password in the Security Key field.

  4. Click Save or Apply.

Via MyJio app:
  1. Open the app and go to your device settings.

  2. Tap WiFi Settings.

  3. Change the password and save.

After changing the password, all connected devices disconnect. Reconnect with the new password.

Checking JioFi Data Usage

Open the admin panel at `jiofi.local.html`. The dashboard shows your remaining data balance, current speed and number of connected devices. You can also check this in the MyJio app.

JioFi devices have a daily data limit depending on your plan. Once you hit the limit, speed drops to 64 Kbps until midnight.

Troubleshooting Jio Login Issues

jiofi.local.html doesn't load. Make sure you're connected to the JioFi WiFi, not your regular home WiFi. Try `http://192.168.1.1` as a backup.

Password wrong on JioFi. Try `administrator` / `administrator`. If someone changed it, hold the Reset button for 10 seconds to restore factory defaults.

Jio Fiber password wrong. Check the sticker on the ONT device. If you still can't log in, call Jio support at 198. They can reset the admin access remotely.

Slow speeds. JioFi hotspots share a single 4G connection. More connected devices means less speed per device. Disconnect devices you're not using.
