The default is `admin` / `admin` for most routers. Not all brands follow that convention though, so check the table below for your specific router.
Before scrolling through the list, take a look at the sticker on the bottom or back of your router. It shows the exact credentials for your unit. Some ISPs change the defaults before shipping, so the sticker is always more reliable than any generic list.

How to Use This List
- Find your router brand in the table above.
- Open a browser and type the Admin IP into the address bar.
- Enter the username and password.
- If the defaults don't work, check the sticker on your router - the ISP or a previous owner may have changed the password.

Why You Should Change Your Default Password
Default passwords are publicly known - anyone can look them up. If someone reaches your router's admin page, whether they're on your network or exploiting a vulnerability, they can log right in with these credentials. That's why changing the admin password after your first login matters so much. Use something unique that you don't use on any other account.
