10.0.0.1 - Router Login & Default Password

Type `http://10.0.0.1` into your browser's address bar. Not into Google - into the bar at the top. If you're connected to the right network, the login page shows up.

This IP address is commonly used for Piso WiFi admin panels in the Philippines.
Default password? Try `admin` / `admin`. For Xfinity gateways it's `admin` / `password`. Neither works? Check the sticker on your router.

Quick answer: Type http://10.0.0.1 into your browser. Username: admin. Password: admin. Works for Piso WiFi, TP-Link, Apple AirPort and Xfinity gateways.

Which devices use 10.0.0.1?

More than you'd think:

  • Piso WiFi machines - older and some current models
  • Apple AirPort - base stations and Time Capsule
  • Xfinity / Comcast - home gateways in the US
  • TP-Link - several models, especially older ones
  • ISP routers across Southeast Asia
Not sure? Flip your router over. The sticker on the back shows the admin address.

How to log in

  1. Connect to the router's WiFi. Or plug in a LAN cable. Your device needs to be on this router's network. Mobile data won't work.
  2. Open any browser. Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari - all fine.
  3. Type `http://10.0.0.1` into the address bar. Not into Google. If your browser changes it to `https`, delete the `s`. Most routers here don't support HTTPS.
  4. Enter username and password. Start with `admin` / `admin`. Doesn't work? See the table below.

Default passwords by brand

Brand / DeviceUsernamePassword
Piso WiFi (LPB, Vendo)adminadmin
Apple AirPort-Set during setup
TP-Linkadminadmin

Apple AirPort is a special case. There's no default password. You set one during initial setup through the AirPort Utility app.

For Piso WiFi operators

Running a Piso WiFi business? 10.0.0.1 is where you manage pause time, sessions and pricing. Connect to the machine's WiFi, open a browser, type the address. Same process as above.

Good to know: newer LPB and Vendo machines have switched to 10.0.0.0.1 as their admin address. If 10.0.0.1 doesn't respond, try that one next.

When 10.0.0.1 doesn't work

Page doesn't load. Most likely you're on the wrong network. Check your WiFi settings. You need to be connected to this specific router, not your neighbor's WiFi or mobile data.

Password rejected. Someone changed it. A factory reset brings back the defaults. Hold the small reset button on the router for 10 seconds. But careful - this also wipes your WiFi name and all other settings.

Wrong device shows up. Got multiple routers at home? 10.0.0.1 might point to the wrong one. Disconnect from all other networks. If you're on a laptop, unplug any extra LAN cables.

Frequently Asked Questions

What router uses 10.0.0.1?

Piso WiFi machines, Apple AirPort, some Xfinity gateways and various TP-Link models. Not sure? Check the label on the bottom of your device.

10.0.0.1 is not loading - what do I do?

First check: are you connected to the right network? Then type `http://10.0.0.1` with the `http://` prefix. Some browsers add `https` by default, which won't work here.

What's the difference between 10.0.0.1 and 10.0.0.0.1?

Different addresses for different devices. 10.0.0.1 is a standard IP used by many routers. 10.0.0.0.1 is specific to certain Piso WiFi firmware. Not sure which yours is? Try both.

How do I find my router's actual IP?

Windows: open Command Prompt, type `ipconfig`, look for Default Gateway. Mac: System Settings, Network, Details. On your phone: tap the connected WiFi network and look for Router or Gateway.
