STC Router Login - Admin Access & WiFi Settings

STC provides Huawei, ZTE and Nokia routers to its customers in Saudi Arabia. Most STC routers use `192.168.1.1` as the admin address. The default password depends on the router brand and model.

STC (now branded as stc) is Saudi Arabia's largest internet provider. They don't make their own routers. Instead, they provide devices from Huawei, ZTE or Nokia, with STC-customized firmware. The login process depends on which brand you got.

STC Router Models and Default Credentials

Not sure which model you have? Flip the router over. The sticker shows the model name, default IP and sometimes the admin password.

How to Log In to Your STC Router

1. Connect to the STC WiFi. The default network name and password are on the sticker.
2. Open a browser and type `http://192.168.1.1` into the address bar. For Nokia models, try `http://192.168.1.254`.
3. Enter `admin` as the username.
4. For the password, try `admin` first. If that doesn't work, try the password on the device sticker or `stc@admin` for Nokia models.

Changing Your STC WiFi Password

1. Log in to the admin panel.
2. Navigate to WLAN or WiFi Settings (label varies by brand).
3. Find the WPA Pre-Shared Key or WiFi Password field.
4. Enter your new password. Use at least 8 characters.
5. Click Save or Apply.

Changing the WiFi Network Name (SSID)

In the same WLAN settings section, you'll find the SSID field. Change it from the default STC name to something you prefer. Avoid using personal information in the network name.

STC Router Security Tips

STC routers come with basic security enabled, but a few quick changes make your network safer:

Change the admin password. The default `admin` / `admin` is widely known. Set a unique admin password under System or Administration settings.

Use WPA2 or WPA3. Make sure your WiFi encryption is set to WPA2-PSK or WPA3. Older WEP encryption is not secure.

Disable WPS. WPS makes connecting easier, but it's a known security weakness. Turn it off in the WiFi settings.

Troubleshooting STC Router Login

Login page doesn't load. You're not connected to the STC router, or you're using the wrong IP. Try both `192.168.1.1` and `192.168.1.254`. Check the device sticker for the correct address.

Password doesn't work. Try all passwords from the table above for your specific model. If none work, call STC at 900.

Router is slow. STC fiber connections are fast, but the WiFi signal depends on router placement. Keep the router in an open, central location. Walls and metal objects weaken the signal.

Factory reset. As a last resort, press and hold the Reset button on the back of the router for 10 seconds. Everything resets to factory defaults. You'll need the STC WiFi password from the sticker to reconnect.
