Your PLDT router's admin panel lives at `http://192.168.1.1`. Open that address in any browser while connected to your PLDT network. The default login for most models is username `admin` and password `1234`. If that doesn't work, check the sticker on the bottom of your router.
PLDT is the largest internet provider in the Philippines. Whether you have PLDT Home Fibr, PLDT Home DSL or PLDT Ultera, the login process is the same.
How to Log In to Your PLDT Router
- Make sure your device (phone, laptop or PC) is connected to your PLDT WiFi or LAN cable - not mobile data.
- Open any browser - Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari.
- Type `http://192.168.1.1` in the address bar at the top (not the search bar).
- A login page appears. Enter your username and password.
- Click Login to open the admin dashboard.
Note: Some PLDT Fibr models (especially older Huawei ONTs) use `192.168.100.1` instead of 192.168.1.1. If 192.168.1.1 doesn't load, try `http://192.168.100.1` next. PLDT Ultera and LTE units may use `192.168.15.1`.
Default Username and Password by Model
Always check the sticker on the bottom or back of your router first. PLDT now sets unique passwords on many newer units, so lists you find online may not match.

How to Change Your WiFi Name and Password
- Log in to http://192.168.1.1 with your admin credentials.
- Go to Basic then Wireless LAN (WLAN) Settings.
- To change the WiFi name: find SSID Name and type your new network name.
- To change the password: go to Security, set encryption to WPA2-Mixed and find the Pre-shared Key or Passphrase field.
- Type your new password (at least 8 characters, mix letters and numbers).
- Click Apply or Save.
How to Change the Admin Password
Your admin password protects the router settings. If you're still using the default, change it now:
- Log in to the router admin panel.
- Look for Administration, System Tools or Management (the name depends on your model).
- Go to Account Management or Password.
- Enter your current password, then type a new strong password.
- Click Apply or Save.
Common Login Problems and Fixes
192.168.1.1 won't load.
You're probably not on your PLDT network. Check that WiFi is on and you're connected to your PLDT network - not a neighbor's or mobile data. Restart the router by unplugging it for 20 seconds, then try again.
Wrong password.
PLDT now uses unique passwords on many newer routers. Check the sticker on your unit. If you changed the password and can't remember it, you'll need to factory reset your router.
Page is blank or not responding.
Try a different browser or device. Clear your browser cache. Still blank after a router restart? The firmware may need updating - call PLDT support at 171.
Security warning in the browser.
This happens because the router uses HTTP, not HTTPS. Click Advanced then Proceed to continue. It's safe on your local network.
How to Factory Reset a PLDT Router
A factory reset erases all your custom settings (WiFi name, password, port forwarding) and restores everything to the defaults on the sticker.
- Make sure the router is powered on.
- Find the Reset hole on the back or bottom of the router.
- Use a paperclip or pin to press and hold the reset button for 10 to 15 seconds.
- Release when the lights flash.
- Wait about one minute for the router to reboot.
- Log in with the default credentials from the sticker.
PLDT Fibr vs PLDT Home DSL
PLDT Home Fibr uses fiber-optic cables and newer routers like the AN5506-04-FA, Huawei HG8245 series and the latest WiFi 6/7 gateways. These are faster and handle more devices.
PLDT Home DSL runs on older copper phone lines and DSL modems. The admin panel works the same way (192.168.1.1), but the hardware is older and speeds are lower.
Both use the same login process. The only real difference is the router model and some menu labels inside the admin panel.
Port Forwarding on PLDT Routers
Need to open ports for online games, CCTV cameras or a home server? Here's how:
- Log in to 192.168.1.1 as admin.
- Go to Advanced, then NAT or Port Forwarding.
- Add a new rule with the port number, protocol (TCP/UDP) and the local IP address of your device.
- Save and reboot if needed.
