10.0.0.1 - Router Admin Login, Default Password & Piso WiFi Guide

10.0.0.1 is a standard private IP address in the 10.0.0.0/8 network range. Routers and network devices use it as their admin address - the address where you log in to change WiFi settings, passwords and everything else.

Open your browser, type `http://10.0.0.1` into the address bar and press Enter. The login page appears if your device is connected to that router's network. Default credentials are usually `admin` / `admin`.

Which Devices Use 10.0.0.1?

10.0.0.1 appears across a wide range of hardware:

  • Piso WiFi vending machines - older and some current models
  • Apple AirPort - base stations and Time Capsule units
  • Xfinity / Comcast - residential gateways in the US
  • TP-Link - select models, particularly older ones
  • Various ISP-supplied routers - especially in Southeast Asia
Not sure which address your router uses? Check the sticker on the bottom or back of the device.

How to Log In to 10.0.0.1

  1. Connect your device to the router's WiFi network or plug in a LAN cable.
  2. Open a browser - Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari all work.
  3. Type the address `http://10.0.0.1` into the address bar at the top. Do not search for it - paste it directly into the address bar.
  4. Enter your credentials. Try `admin` / `admin` first. If that fails, try `admin` / `password` or check the label on your router.
If your browser keeps redirecting to `https://10.0.0.1` and the page fails to load, type `http://10.0.0.1` with the full `http://` prefix. Most routers at this address do not support HTTPS.

10.0.0.1 for Piso WiFi

If you run a Piso WiFi business and your machine uses 10.0.0.1 as its admin address, you use this address to access pause time settings, session management and pricing. The process is the same: connect to the machine's WiFi, open a browser and type `http://10.0.0.1`.

Newer LPB and Vendo machines have switched to 10.0.0.0.1 as their default admin address. If 10.0.0.1 does not respond, try 10.0.0.0.1 next.

When 10.0.0.1 Does Not Work

Page does not load at all. Your device is likely connected to a different network. Check your WiFi connection and make sure you are on the correct router's network.

Login rejected. The password was changed. A factory reset restores defaults - hold the reset button for 10 seconds. Note: this also resets your WiFi name and all other settings.

Wrong device responds. If you have multiple routers or access points, 10.0.0.1 might lead to a different device than expected. Disconnect from all other networks first.

Frequently Asked Questions

What router uses 10.0.0.1?

Piso WiFi machines, Apple AirPort base stations, some Xfinity gateways and various TP-Link models. Check the label on your device to confirm.

10.0.0.1 is not loading - what do I do?

Connect your device to that router's network first. Then type `http://10.0.0.1` with the full prefix to prevent automatic HTTPS redirects.

What is the difference between 10.0.0.1 and 10.0.0.0.1?

Different devices. 10.0.0.1 is a standard IP used by many routers. 10.0.0.0.1 is used by some Piso WiFi firmware specifically.

How do I find my router's actual IP?

Windows: run `ipconfig` in Command Prompt, look for Default Gateway. Mac: System Settings > Network > Details. Mobile: tap your connected WiFi network and look for Router or Gateway.
